I have two new pups-Rosie and Boss...5 & 4 months old...whoa...talk about terrible twos....I've had to "nail" everything down...had to chase Rosie around the back yard for 10 minutes just to get my wallet back...and then had to check her 17 [meat -bone] hiding places to find my car keys... You sumed it up welll when you said: "he has the capability to make all my worries disappear with just a glance of his big brown eyes." I have the exact same experience... times two!! We have 2 now...Our 2 1/2 yr old just became a daddy on 12/21/07 to a healthy litter of 10 pups! Regarding the comment about docking and or banding. Our 2 1/2 yr old Boxer did not have his tail docked nor banded and honestly, I wish he had. When he gets excited (which is ALL the time) he tends to pop the end of his tail and it starts to bleed. We did have the newborn's tail docked for mainly this reason. A Boxer's tail is so long & so thick. A lot of people that do not own a Boxer do not understand the power they have in their tails. As I stated, I wish our oldest Boxer's tail would have been docked. It would sure save him from being in pain when he pops it. I LOVE Boxers! It's not the $10, it's the huge freaking hassle of getting all your cards replaced. Happened to me once, and its a major freakin' bummer. An aside- I took that picture of the officer and his dog-- Oh my goodness that dog hated my guts.. Hated me I guess cause I was taking pictures.. the officer is trying to quiet him down... hehe I wouldn't want to be by myself with that dog.. No way no how! My Chihuahua, Sissy gets a reverse cough. It sounds like she can't catch her breath also. Sometimes it goes on for several minutes. She really gets stressed. This is not uncommon in small dogs. She gets it when she gets excited. There is nothing you can do for it, and it's not harmful. Just really scary! I will have to remember that….reverse sneeze. My Chihuahua, Sissy gets a reverse cough.
