I sat on the couch this morning switching the channels on the television and I ended up leaving it on ABC’s "The View."It's ironic because later in the evening I went on to the Humane Society Web and there pops up an article on "The View" co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Goldberg apparently made remarks that brushed off Michael Vick's cruel and disgusting actions involving dogfighting. Goldberg defended Vick by saying that dogfighting was "part of his cultural upbringing." The next day she tried to clarify her statement by saying she condemned dogfighting and adopted many pets.

However, the damage was done and many people were offended by her comment, including myself. After joining “The View” on Sept. 4, and just 15 minutes into her first segment, Goldberg has already managed to upset viewers. The future looks real promising.
